Firing-Discipline Interview

For this assignment I interviewed my Step-Mom who works as an office manager for Allstates Landscaping. It was interesting to see the perspective of someone who fires people. It is not something people like to do and are very uncomfortable with letting people go. It seems like there are a lot of processes in place before just coming straight forward and letting someone go.

I learned that there are interesting people out there that do interesting things to cause grounds for firing, but what it comes down to for this company anyway, is if people are causing a lot of problems with other employees and costing the company  a lot of money, then they don't like to keep people around. People need to be able to do their job expectations, and if they consistently are not doing that, then they aren't worth it to keep them around.
